Witam,

A couple of weeks ago it was announced that you would be able to download complete HD and SD versions of your favorite movies and TV shows from the Xbox Live Markeplace. That day is now here...moments ago the switch was flipped and the service is now available for all U.S. Xbox Live members. No dashboard update needed...just sign in to Xbox Live, and head over to Marketplace, then Media and Entertainment. You can also hit it directly from the Media blade->Video Marketplace. It's fitting that on the Xbox 360's first birthday, it becomes the first gaming console in history to provide HD TV shows and movies directly to your gaming lair.

Na razie tylko amerykanie, choć ponoć europejska wersja ma wystartować niebawem. Dostępnych jest 48 filmów pełnometrażowych i 47 różnych seriali w tym dla wielu po kilka "sezonów". Niestety seriale wychodzą dość drogo, bo po 160 Marketplace Points za odcinek [500 MP kosztuje coś koło 6,5$] za to chyba wszystkie dostępne są zarówno w 480p jak i 720p.

Z filmami jest nieco lepiej cenowo ale tylko kilka dostępnych jest także w 720p. Poniżej zestawiłem listę tego co można obejrzeć.

Wszystko super tylko przegięte ceny filmów

Bez przesady - za filmy na DVD w wypożyczalniach też płaci się od 5 do 10 PLN za dobę a ta konkretna oferta jest kierowana do mieszkańców USA. Dla kogoś, kto za średnią pizzę z dowozem do domu płaci 12 USD wydanie 3 USD na wypożyczenie filmu nie stanowi jakiegoś strasznego problemu, prawda?

Ja sam wypożyczam filmy, bo niewiele jest tytułów, które mam ochotę oglądać częściej niż raz na kilka lat i płacę właśnie 7-9 złotych za dobę. Dla mnie te ceny byłyby całkowicie do zaakceptowania.
Inna sprawa z serialami - 160 MP za odcinek to już dla mnie całkiem nieopłacalna inwestycja.
